A help to those who need it
Problem Statement
In Pune city, there are over 500 vastis (slum areas), each facing its own set of challenges and conflicts. These communities struggle with multiple issues, such as limited access to education, poor healthcare, and exposure to negative influences. Growing up in such environments without proper guidance and support often makes it difficult for children to differentiate between right and wrong. This has a significant impact on their emotional, social, and physical development, hindering their ability to reach their full potential.
Our Approach to the Problem
To address these challenges, Swanand started work in 2016 through a structured Vasti Vikas Prakalp, to provide value-based education and holistic development for children aged 4–18, fostering leadership, self-realization, and overall health & wellbeing. All these project are alignment with NEP 2020’s NIPUN Bharat Mission.

Our vision at Swanand Jankalyan Pratishthan is to put all our efforts into bridging the gap among various sections of society and bringing equality in the communities through various upliftment programs for underprivileged communities by providing structured development programs and platforms. We aim to create social harmony through a unique development model.

Initiate and sustain interest in education among children in Seva Vastis through engaging academic activities and support classes @seva vasti.

Establish a ‘Samruddhi Varg’ center that focuses on holistic development, imparting core values, social-emotional learning, and life skills. Through structured activities

Develop a support system for adolescents through the Kishor Darpan and Naipunya Varg Project, offering mentorship and counselling with the help of experts and professionals.

To improve the overall health and well-being of slum communities by providing accessible, affordable, and quality healthcare services through regular OPDs and health camps.
